Review by hotel critic
As an environmental scientist with a keen interest in sustainable travel, my recent stay at Masseria Calderisi in Puglia was a delightful blend of culinary innovation and natural beauty. The hotel's restaurant, set within a charming 17th-century farmhouse, offered an exceptional dining experience. Each meal featured ingredients sourced from local farms—organic beef and fresh mozzarella complemented dishes that celebrated Puglian cuisine. I enjoyed a dinner under the stars, served on a private terrace, where the attentive staff made the evening memorable. During my five-night stay, I found the accommodations spacious and thoughtfully designed, with cleaning conducted twice daily to maintain a comfortable environment. The pool area was an inviting retreat, and the lush grounds provided several cozy corners to unwind. Breakfast was another highlight, with a selection of freshly prepared items, from eggs to delightful pastries. The nearby herb gardens and vegetable beds fostered an appreciation for locally-sourced produce. Masseria Calderisi thrives as a gourmet getaway, allowing guests to indulge in excellent culinary offerings while soaking in the serene ambiance. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking an exceptional culinary and travel experience in a truly picturesque setting.
